Mars, 522,000 BCE. Atlanka City, part of the Sirian Imperial Alliance sits on the Martian landscape on a sandy white beach, beside a majestic sapphire blue ocean. A peaceful place of trade, learning, and exploration until disaster strikes. From the depths of space, hurtling towards the planet, a seemingly uncontrollable and massive asteroid is on a collision course. Only Persephone, Director of the Sirian Institute of Science has the courage to take control and avert disaster. From the deepest part of the solar system, where the S.I.V. Jovus, Solaran and Helia, three of the Empire's most advanced Star Ships attempt to destroy the asteroid, to the bowels of Atlanka City, where Persephone and her sister Josephine must try to outsmart a dynamic artificial intelligence, bent on stopping their efforts at all costs. The Exodus is an emotional roller-coaster, that takes the reader from despair to the deepest moments of human love and compassion. It highlights the absolute best of humanity in the most dire of situations; from the S.I.V. Solaran being struck by a fragment of asteroid, to the Helia rescuing the Solaran from a repair dock, before Mars is obliterated. The Exodus is sure to inspire readers of all ages. We have so much we cannot explain, so many monuments that are nameless. So much of our history is lost in time. Are we really so sure of our origins..........
I grew up in a fairly large city in Southern Ontario. Even as a child I felt something was off with the way people around me treated each other. Being young I simply accepted it and tried my best to live with it. As I matured into adulthood, I began to realize the feeling I had that something was very wrong with the world wasn't just in my little corner of it, it was a global issue. People weren't just being unkind to each other locally this was a truly international problem, I watched as terror attacks were made, first in Oklahoma then in New York. I watched Militaries respond with unrelenting force, racking up kills but ultimately accomplishing very little. As I entered my twenties I discovered quite by accident Television Shows like Ancient Aliens and America Unearthed. They spoke to me, calling me to envision a world before the one we know, a world where people worked together without the nagging issue of how much will you pay me, or the tired old song of what is it worth to you. In a single sleepless night Dawn of Man was born from the issues I saw around me day in and day out, it is an expression both of trying to understand who we are and how we came to the place we are at today and also, it attempts to unravel some of our deepest mysteries using logical and reasonable explanations. While it is a work of fiction, it is designed to encourage people to envision the type of world they wish for themselves and those whom they know and care about. I firmly believe that we are not a society of countries separated by borders but one race and one people all joined together, living in concert upon this beautiful planet. When our hourglass runs dry and we are in our last moments upon this globe, the only things that truly matter are who we loved, the good deeds we did, what we learned and who will continue in our place to carry on our legacy...
